Workworkwork out now!

I'm very happy and proud to announce the release of my latest puzzle book Workworkwork!

Workworkwork is a futuristic book of more than 100 challenging logic puzzles. In each puzzle, you draw a path between 2 workers, travelling through the blocks on the grid - the path determines how these blocks combine and connect into a single shape, which must match the showcased output for the puzzle to be solved. You start with simple path-finding problems, but quickly progress to impossible foldings of the physical plane - through the mixture of out-of-box realisations and pure logical deductions.

Workworkwork is currently available as a PDF which you can buy for 2,99€ (there might be some free community copies still available at the time you're reading this, check out the bottom of the official WWW's Itch.io page).

I will also manufacture physical copies, their release date is July 28th. You can preorder the book for a 10% discount and to receive the PDF download link. The book will be spiral-bound, printed in full colour and it will include a transparent sheet that can be placed over any page and drawn on with a dry erase marker (marker not included). To be completely transparent, I might get the books earlier than July 28th and in this case, I'll send out copies as soon as possible, but first I wanted to wait a week or so before sending the files to the printers, so the dust would settle and I could fix any unobvious mistakes - the 28th is really just me being completely safe.

Work on Workworkwork started in June last year, when I made a small prototype of 10 experimental challenges. Although I admired the surprising logical possibilities of the system, I quickly forgot about the set - until half a year later, when I was on vacation in Toscana, Italy, and I suddenly saw an interesting overlapping “H” shape in my mind's eye (which eventually became puzzle 33). An obsession gripped me, persisting for the next 8 months, forcing me into many late-night scribblings of the twisted puzzles.

Workworkwork's catalogue number is LETIBUS006, skipping over 005, which is reserved for my upcoming puzzle board game Herd. Herd was supposed to be released in April, but due to production problems with figurines, its release date has been pushed back to winter. My original plan was to publish Herd, take my time to very slowly finish Workworkwork and publish it in September, but the turn of events switched the order, prompting me to bite hard into WWW's development so I could still release both games this year. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do Workworkwork justice on such a short notice, but it turns out, the structure was already there, I just needed a few very focused weeks for everything to jump into place.

A tremendous help during the development were the kind like-minded people from the Letibus Discord online community + a few other very kind fellow puzzle creators/enjoyers. They are listed on the first pages of the book. Thank you all, my friends!

I'll probably write a bit more in a design diary at the time of the physical version's release. For now, please take a look of the PDF. It might be my most sophisticated design so far. I'm extremely proud of it.

All the best,

Blaž
