December Update

I've updated the cards and the rulebook. Just some streamlining. Nothing that would change how the game or cards are played, so if you already have it printed out, don't worry. I need to update the low-ink version; it's in my to-do list.

I've also been playing All Is Bomb for fun again lately and it got me thinking about new expansions. I feel that the current game with the 6 expansions already presents a very tight experience, so I won't share anything publicly that won't really blow my mind, but I'll probably create some cards for myself that will explore these ideas:

  • having some sorts of resources in the game; cards that present a value of, let's say, "gold" while equipped; cards that have a special action when the value of "gold" would be above X;
  • having cards with the special keyword STOP, that would stop the drawing in the Draw & Equip phase of the turn, so you would have to equip them; this could lead to some interesting timer or countdown cards;
  • having a bunch of cards of little rascal creatures (like 6 of them?) that you would have to discard them all as a win condition + 2 special cards that would discard ALL cards that are in between them in the deck;
  • having a win condition to have 2 or 3 cards together in a row in the deck (probably a throw-away idea, since you could stumble upon this win condition with the setup shuffling - unless they must also be ignited?);
  • ever since the beginning of making AIB, I've also been thinking about how to make some cards attach themselves to other cards, so they would have special powers/disadvantages.

I've also been thinking about a real, hefty, grand expansion. So basically a whole new core set of cards with new effects and new win conditions. We'll see. I genuinely think there is still a lot of space to be explored with the AIB set of mechanics. I just need to find time and enjoyment in the creative process. If you have any ideas, please share them with me :)

I'm also very interested in how does the game fare with 2 players?.If anyone has any experiences, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I have of course playtested the 2-player game myself and think it works well (even though I think the solo mode is superior), but any comments/criticism would help me make it better.

The same goes for the campaign mode. Has anyone tried it out?

Thanks! Have a nice day, B

maybe you can make AIB a multiplayer game. what i mean by multiplayer is, 2 - 6 Person can play this game.

and instead cooperating, in multiplayer mode they will competing

(1 edit)

If you haven't checked it out, AIB already has a 2-player mode (cooperative). Regarding a 2+ player competitive mode - yes, I've already thought about it :) It would have to be a completely separate game though, using only some parts of the AIB system. Maybe in the future!
